Cherie is the founder of Water & Music, a boutique strategic consultancy focused on the cutting edge of music and tech. Her clients range from major tech platforms (Ableton, TuneCore, Moises) and collection societies (PRS for Music, GEMA), to independent rights organizations (GoldState Music, Seeker Music, ALIBI Music) and early-stage startups — all of whom turn to Water & Music to help separate signal from noise in a rapidly evolving industry landscape. She has over a decade of experience as an industry analyst, previously writing columns on music-tech innovation for publications including Billboard, Forbes, Pitchfork, NPR Music, DJ Mag, and Music Business Worldwide. A sought-after public speaker and expert commentator, Cherie has spoken on panels and keynotes at over 40 conferences worldwide, including SXSW, Music Biz, MIDEM, and the Web Summit. She also teaches emerging music tech trends as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Steinhardt's Music Business program.
