Over de sessie

Technological developments are moving fast, and so are their deals within the music industry. Recently, UMG and Udio announced an agreement to collaborate on a new suite of creative products for consumers. Under this agreement, a platform will be launched next year that uses generative AI trained on authorized and licensed music. At the same time, almost the entire music industry has rallied behind the Human Artistry Campaign, which advocates for the responsible use of artificial intelligence, to support human creativity and achievement while respecting the unique value of human artistry and expression. Do the recent deals align with the principles of the Human Artistry Campaign? A conversation between Robbert Baruch (SVP Public Affairs – Europe and Multilateral Relations, UMG) and Marie Sellier (policy advisor to the Human Artistry Campaign). Join us as we explore whether new AI alliances can truly coexist with the industry’s commitment to human artistry.
