Over de sessie

As artificial intelligence becomes deeply woven into music creation, production, and performance, new ethical questions are reshaping the creative landscape. How do we define originality when machines can compose? Who is accountable when algorithms replicate an artist’s style or voice? And how do we balance innovation with integrity or sustainability? In this panel, leading artists, researchers, and producers explore the moral crossroads of music and AI. Ethicist and producer Martin Clancy, Music % tech expert Femke Blok, drummer and educator Hans Eijkenaar, and Marcel Velez Vasquez from the AI Song Contest share their perspectives on authorship, authenticity, and the role of human emotion in an increasingly automated world. Together, they will discuss not just what AI can do, but what it should do — and how the music community can develop an ethical framework that keeps creativity, fairness, and humanity at its core.
